The Sigler Farm, located on W. Post Office Road in Somerset County, MD. We have two parcels totaling 65 +/- acres including approximately 40% (apprx. 30 acres) cleared with the remaining wooded. Property provides high quality habitat for deer and turkey. Farm is subject to agricultural preservation (MALPF) easement and allows for the construction of buildings for agriculture use. MALPF easement permits the landowner to use the land for farm and forest related uses and home occupations compatible with agriculture and forestry. FARMING LEASE IS $ 2,200 PER YEAR.

MALPF easement uses that are permitted at minimum: (any other uses must be approved by the board)

Any farm use;

The operation at any time of any machinery used in farm production or primary processing of agricultural products; and

All normal agricultural operations performed with good husbandry practices that do not cause bodily injury or directly endanger human health, including but limited to, sale of farm products produced on the farm where such sales are made.
